The Nexon is currently the best-selling vehicle for Tata Motors

Due to the recent price hike, the Tata Nexon costs up to Rs. 11,000/- more now

Tata Motors has rolled out a price hike for its compact SUV, the Nexon. The car now costs up to Rs. 11,000/- more than earlier.

A few variants of the Nexon have not seen their asking prices change, but others have. While many variants are now dearer by Rs. 1000/-, the top-of-the-line XZA+ (O) Dark Edition is pricier by Rs. 11,000/-.

Now, the Nexon is priced between Rs. 7,29,900/- and Rs. 13,34,900/- (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and its price is not the only thing that has changed.

The variants should have been rejigged based on customer preference

Tata has also gotten rid of as many as 4 diesel variants of the Nexon. The variants that have been shown the door include XE, XZ, XMA and XZA+ S.

No changes have been made to the mechanicals of the compact SUV. It still continues to be offered with turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol (120 PS and 170 NM) and 1.5-litre diesel (110 PS and 260 Nm) engine options and 6-speed manual and AMT.

The best-selling car of Tata Motors also has an electric version, which, incidentally, is the top-selling electric car in the country.
