Tata will launch the Nexon EV in early 2020, will be priced between Rs. 15-17 lakhs.
It is a known fact that Tata Motors is working on an electric version of the Nexon. Now, the automaker has revealed more details about the vehicle which is set to be launched in the fourth quarter of this fiscal, i.e. between January and March 2020.
The Tata Nexon EV will come with Ziptron technology and the automaker claims that it will address the barriers existing in the EV market today. Tata is aiming to offer a range of 300 kms with the Nexon EV and the vehicle will come with a high voltage system and fast charging capability.
The vehicle will have IP67 (dust and water proof) adherence while the battery and motor will come with a warranty of 8 years. The Tata Nexon EV will be priced between Rs. 15-17 lakhs and while it is a bit costlier than the diesel version, we feel it could be a good bet provided it is reliable and lives up to its claim of offering 300 kms of range.
