Tata Nexon to get two new variants soon
Tata Motors will soon launch the much awaited CNG version of the Nexon. The official images of the car has been revealed along with a teaser of the Nexon EV Dark edition. Both of these variants will be launched in the coming couple of months.
The Tata Nexon CNG will be the first turbo CNG car in India, powered by the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. It will also come with an AMT gearbox, that will be a perfect combination of performance, convenience and at the same time economical.
Additionally, the Nexon CNG will get the same twin-cylinder CNG tanks like the recent updated lineup of Tata CNG cars. The twin-cylinders free up a lot of boot space, as you can see in these official images. The spare wheel has been positioned underneath the boot.
The Indian carmaker hasn’t revealed the specs of the Nexon iCNG yet. It is expected to be around Rs. 1.5 lakhs more expensive than its regular petrol counterpart. With the addition of CNG option, the Tata Nexon will now be available in petrol, diesel, electric and CNG powertrains, which will cater to a wider audience.
Along with the CNG concept, the Tata Nexon EV Dark edition has also been teased. As expected, it will come with all-black elements like black exterior, black alloys and all black interior with red contrast stitching. We can expect some additional features as well. However, it is likely to remain the same mechanically.
