The third edition of Tata Nano Art-in-Motion series was conducted at Youth Nexus, which is a talent show held amongst the top 40 colleges in Delhi. The event saw participation of teams from different colleges competing in Street Play, Fashion, Choreography and a Rock Band Competition. The finale took place in New Delhi’s Ramlal Anand College where the event saw the creation of Nano Saddi Dilli art car. Saddi Dilli was the theme chosen for the third edition Nano Art-in-Motion series, keeping in mind the sights and flavors of Delhi.
The Saddi Dilli edition Nano was painted by a trio of artists, who came from Mumbai known as The Doodlers. The vehicle was painted in a pop-art style to capture and showcase the busy and unique vibrancy of Delhi. The paint job done by The Doodlers on the Tata Nano featured a canvas of modern art, showcasing the culture and monuments of the city. The third edition of the Nano Art-in-Motion series intends to empower young artists and creative minds to use the Tata Nano as an outlet for their creativity.
Students were asked to give their views on the modern interpretations of road signs in Delhi. 11 submissions were shortlisted out of the thousand entries. The 11 road signs can be seen embedded within the pop-art background of Delhi on the Nano Saddi Dilli edition. The signatures of the 11 winning students are also showcased alongside The Doodler’s own signatures. The Nano Art-in-Motion series is an innovative strategy to create brand awareness of the Nano and enhance the presence of the country’s most affordable car in the market.
