Tata Motors’ sales are declining very quickly. The company has been pushed from third position to sixth position in no time, with Mahindra, Toyota and Honda overtaking the Indian automobile giant. Tata Motors has quite a few launches in the pipeline but nothing significant in the near future. The automaker will launch three new products on the 19th of June, all of which are facelifts of existing models. The company hopes these models will boost sales till new vehicles (like the XO hatchback, compact SUV, diesel Nano, etc) arrive next year.
So which are these three vehicles which are getting a facelift? We already reported the Aria facelift will only arrive in October, while the Vista and Manza were recently refreshed. The Safari Storme was launched not long ago which leaves only three cars which can be given a facelift, the Nano, Sumo Gold and Indigo eCS. As you might have guessed, the changes are mostly cosmetic, the Nano gets some chrome tweaks here and there along with features from the limited edition model. The biggest news though is the availability of a CNG version in the facelifted model .
The Indigo eCS soliders on with new headlights and minor tweaks to the styling while the Sumo Gold too gets somewhat similar updates. These changes are sure to keep things fresh for Tata Motors but for how long is the question. Maybe cheaper pricing, added features and more mileage will come along with these facelifts, which will surely lure more customers to Tata Motors camp.
