Tata Motors has displayed the Zica adorned with all the accessories at the 2016 Auto Expo. The hatchback is on its way to being renamed too.
Amidst several unveiling and updates at the Tata stall at the Auto Expo, the Tata Zica displayed had its own charm among the pseudo cross variants churned out by rival manufacturers. Late to the party due to reasons known better to them, the Zica doesn’t just surprise you with a different designing and a very European silhouette but also exceeds the level of quality you must have experienced in a Tata car before. By far, the Zica exhibits true efforts by the Indian conglomerate to regain the market.
The blue coloured Zica on display at the Auto Expo which is essentially an accessorized model speaks about the new design language with a hint of sportiness given by the spoiler and side skirts. The contrasting colour scheme livens up the sportier intention the special edition wants to convey. Adding to the list of features are the beautifully crafted five-spoke alloys which gives the car a distinguishing stance.
To be positioned between the Nano and the Bolt hatchback, this entry-level hatchback is all set to compete against established players like the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat and the newly launched Mahindra KUV100 among others. Manufactured at Tata’s Sanand plant, the Zica is powered by 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine delivering 83.8 BHP of power and a 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel engine good enough to deliver 69.04 BHP of power. To be equipped with the best of features, what remains to be seen is how would Tata price the Zica after their Bolt debacle.
