Tata Motors has showcased a special edition of their previously available budget sedan, the Zest at the 2016 Auto Expo.
At the 2014 Auto Expo, Tata had first unveiled the Zest, which was powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine or a 1.3-litre diesel engine. A part of Tata’s Horizonext programme, the Zest was built on the same platform as the Tata Manza and Tata Indica Vista. The Zest was launched a little before its hatchback version, the Bolt. Two years later, at the 2016 Auto Expo, Tata has unveiled a special edition of the Zest.
Even though the company has not mentioned any upgrades in terms of performance, some aesthetic changes are clearly visible on the car. The special edition Zest comes in a new exterior color along with racy front and rear bumpers. The boot lid also has a new spoiler that subtly adds to the aggressiveness that the designers over at Tata probably wanted to bring to this special edition.
