Tata Motors Offers Sporty Body Kit On Bolt Hatchback

The body kit will be directly available with dealers and needs to be retrofitted on the Tata Bolt at an additional cost and gives the hatchback a more sporty appeal.

With Tata Motors all set to launch its new 2015 Bolt in the country in a couple of hours, the upcoming hatchback has already arrived at dealerships across the country with dealers commencing test drives and sales soon. Targeted at young buyers, Tata is also offering an optional body kit on the Bolt to add to its sporty appeal and a heavily kitted Bolt was caught on camera at a dealership highlighting the funky characteristics that are associated with the car.

The body kit shown here comprises of a front lip spoiler, side skirts as well as a spoiler at the rear with an integrated high mounted stop light. The rear bumper gets a rally-like diffuser that completes the package and certainly adds to the sporty quotient on the loaded hatchback. Apart from the upgrades to the exteriors, the body kit extends to the interior and includes dual tone black seats with red accents. The dashboard remains untouched. Tata has made sure to not play too much with the original aesthetics of the car and this made to measure body kit definitely lend a sporty touch to the Bolt.

While the body kit is being extended as an option to customers, the 2015 Tata Bolt will come with projector headlamps, alloy wheels, electrically adjustable ORVMS and fog lamps as standard. No changes are expected to the power output though. Doing a quick recap on the specifications, the Bolt draws power from the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol and 1.3-litre Quadrajet diesel engines, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol variant also comes with three driving modes on offer. Prices for the Bolt will be announced later today.
