Tata Motors Launches Vista Tech, Priced From Rs. 5.01 Lakhs

Tata Motors has launched the Vista Tech in India, priced between Rs. 5.01 lakhs (for the base LS variant), going up to Rs. 6.19 lakhs (for the top-end Vista VX Tech trim). The prices are ex-showroom Mumbai and the company has managed to price the re-positioned Vista very aggressively, making significant room for the upcoming Flacon 4 to sit above the Vista Tech. We have already leaked the brochure and product presentation of the Vista Tech earlier so you are well aware about the changes to the car. But let’s do a quick recap on what’s new.

The Tata Vista Tech takes heavy influence from the Vista D90, which was discontinued last month due to poor sales. The company has borrowed the Manza’s dashboard for the Vista Tech which means all variants get the instrument cluster on the right side (both literally and direction wise). The Vista Tech gets a range of features with the top-end Vista VX Tech getting all the features from the Vista D90 (Bluetooth connectivity, 6.5-inch touch-screen audio system, GPS navigation, CD/DVD/AUX, USB compatibility, etc). The car also gets a driver information system which displays real time mileage, new duo-float front suspension which improves ride quality, steering mounted audio controls, etc.

The Tata Vista Tech is offered in 4 variants and a new Chill Blue colour has been introduced. The Vista VX Tech variant is a limited edition model and we expect sales of this fully-loaded trim to be stopped once the Falcon 4 goes on sale in India. The Vista Tech is offered with either a 1.4-litre TDI diesel engine or a 1.3-litre Quadrajet diesel engine (producing 75 BHP of power and is sans VGT), the former is BS3 compliant while the latter meets BS4 emissions. No petrol model is offered but given the fact Tata Motors announced the 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine yesterday, we expect the Revotron motor to find its way in the Vista Tech in the near future.
