Tata Motors will launch the Indica Vista, Vista EV, Safari and Xenon pick-up in the UK this year. The Aria crossover and Nano Europa will follow in 2011 and 2012 respectively. The company is currently in talks with two potential distributors. The Vista EV will be manufactured in Coventry later this year and the company intends to produce 1500 units in 2010. Tata is aiming for low cost ownership with the Vista EV, comparable to that of a petrol or diesel car over a period of three years. Hence the company plans to offer the car for sale and then leasing the batteries.
