Tata Motors has given the Indigo eCS yet another facelift. However the company has not only made cosmetic updates but tweaked the gearbox and suspension as well and the new car is expected to be easier to drive with a better ride quality. On the exterior front, the Indigo eCS now gets a new diamond chrome grille, chrome ringed fog lamps, new dual tone bumpers, smoked bezel headlamps, multi-spoke alloy wheels, turn indicators on rear view mirrors and chrome garnish at the rear. You can see how the new model compares to the old one in the picture above.
On the inside, the 2013 Tata Indigo eCS gets dual tone interiors with a new instrument cluster, new finishing on the centre console, 4-spoke steering wheel, Blaupunkt audio system with Bluetooth and AUX connectivity, coin and pen holder in the glove box, bottle and magazine holder in the front doors and rear parking assist. Tata Motors has also improved the NVH levels on the Indigo and they call the cabin anti-acoustic. The vehicle is available in 4 colours – maroon, white, silver and burgundy.
The Tata Indigo eCS is powered by the same engines which did duty on the previous model. The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 65 PS of power and 100 Nm of torque. The 1.4-litre CR4 diesel engine produces 70 PS of power and 140 Nm of torque. Both engines are BS4 compliant. A BS3 compliant TDI diesel engine is on offer as well which produces 70 PS of power and 135 Nm of torque. The BS3 range is priced at Rs. 4.99 lakhs while the BS4 range is priced at Rs. 5.29 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Tata Motors also showcased the Indigo eCS petrol CNG. This model is also called the Indigo emax and is powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine, producing 65 PS of power at 5000 RPM and 100 Nm of torque at 2700 Nm. In CNG mode, this engine produces 56 PS of power at 5000 RPM and 90 Nm of torque at 2700 RPM. The Indigo emax has a 10 kgs CNG tank and returns a mileage of 23.71 km/kg. The Tata Indigo CNG will be available starting August 2013 and is expected to come at a Rs. 60,000/- premium over the regular petrol version.
