The new variant range of the Tata Harrier is XZS, it sits above the XZ lineup
Tata Harrier has got a new variant lineup named ‘XZS’. Priced between Rs. 20 – 21.6 lakhs (ex-showroom), each XZS variant commands a premium of roughly around Rs. 1.3 lakh over the respective XZ counterpart.
But, the new lineup sits below the XZ Plus range as each variant of the XZS is roughly around Rs. 35,000/- cheaper than the former. For the said amount, the existing XZ Plus range offers just 2 additional features making the new lineup a tempting proposition.
The new features on offer on the XZS are panoramic sunroof, 6-way adjustable driver seat, adjustable lumbar support, auto-dimming IRVM, and 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. In addition to these features, the 2 more features of the XZ Plus are ventilated front seats and iRA connected tech.
Other standard features of the XZS are Xenon HID projector headlamps, 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, JBL sound system with 9 speakers, automatic climate control, auto wipers, auto headlamps, 6 airbags, and rear parking camera.
As far as the powertrain goes, the SUV comes with the tried and tested Fiat-sourced 2-litre engine that exerts 170 PS and 350 Nm mated either to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.
With the addition of the new lineup, Tata Harrier now gets a total of 29 variants to choose from. The prices start at Rs. 14.65 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the base XE variant and goes up to Rs. 21.95 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the top-end XZA Plus Dark Edition.
The Tata Harrier currently rivals the Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor.
