Tata launches limited-edition Harrier & Safari Stealth with exclusive matte finish
Tata Motors has introduced the Stealth Edition for its Harrier and Safari SUVs, with prices starting at Rs. 25.10 lakhs for the Harrier and Rs. 25.75 lakhs for the Safari (ex-showroom). Unveiled earlier at Auto Expo 2025, this limited-edition offering is capped at just 2700 units and builds upon the top-tier Dark variants of both models—the Harrier Fearless+ and the Safari Accomplished+.
Price and Variants
The Harrier Stealth Edition comes with two pricing options: Rs. 25.10 lakhs for the manual variant and Rs. 26.50 lakhs for the automatic. This makes it Rs. 25,000/- more expensive than the standard Harrier Fearless+ Dark trim.
Similarly, the Safari Stealth Edition is priced between Rs. 25.75 lakhs and Rs. 27.25 lakhs, depending on the chosen configuration and transmission. The pricing reflects a premium of Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 45,000/- over the equivalent Dark variants. Tata is offering the Safari Stealth in both 6- and 7-seat layouts.
Design and Feature Enhancements
While there are no mechanical changes, the Stealth Edition stands out with its distinct aesthetic. The SUVs sport a matte black exterior finish, complemented by newly designed 19-inch black alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin features granite black leatherette seats, exclusive ‘Stealth’ badging and subtle refinements to the dashboard trim.
Feature-wise, both models come equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), seven airbags, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 10-speaker JBL sound system, connected car technology and dual-zone climate control.
Performance and Powertrain
Under the hood, the Stealth Edition retains the familiar 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine sourced from Stellantis. This powertrain delivers 170 HP and 350 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Market Positioning and Competition
With the launch of the Stealth Edition, the overall price range for the Harrier now extends from Rs. 14.99 lakhs to Rs. 26.50 lakhs, while the Safari’s pricing spans from Rs. 15.50 lakhs to Rs. 27.25 lakhs. These special editions will compete with other black-themed SUVs in the segment, including the soon to be launched Mahindra Scorpio N Black Edition, as well as established rivals like the Mahindra XUV700 and the MG Hector.
