Tata Harrier EV Test Mule Spotted, Without Camouflage In Two-Tone Exterior
The Tata Harrier EV was revealed at Auto Expo 2025. The images have surfaced regarding the Harrier EV getting tested on public roads. Let’s understand what the Harrier has in store for its electric version whose launch might be just around the corner.
Front Design Changes
The images showcase closed front grilles and a revised bumper design. The grilles also have horizontal slats embedded in them at the top and vertical slats at the bottom. There is also the presence of a faux skid plate, finished in contrasting silver complementing the dual-tone exterior.
Side Profile: Unchanged
The side profile also shows ORVMs, silhouette, body and wheel arch claddings, and roof rails, which remain unchanged. However, the plastic claddings are expected to be finished in gloss black, delivering an upmarket feel.
Rear Profile Changes
The alloy wheels get a distinct design which will help to differentiate the ICE and EV versions of the Harrier. The expected wheel size is 19-inch wrapped in 245-section tyres. The rear design of the Harrier EV remains unchanged, as seen on the test mule, comprising shark fin antennae, silver skid plate and LED tail lights.
Features
The features of the Harrier EV remain similar to the Harrier ICE model. It will be offered with creature comforts such as a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster with Wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, Panoramic Sunroof, a 360-degree camera, etc.
Battery & Expected Range
The expected range of the Harrier EV is about 500 Km. However, an aspect that should be discussed is the AWD version’s availability, signifying the SUV’s off-roading prowess. The dual-motor AWD version will also get 500 Nm of torque, according to Tata.
Outlook
The Harrier EV is entering a space which is currently taken by Mahindra XEV 9E and it remains to be seen how the two compare in the real world. Not to mention, there will be fierce competition from other competitors like Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, and Maruti E Vitara as well.
