Tata has rolled out a new software update for the Harrier which includes Apple CarPlay.
The Tata Harrier was launched earlier this year and this SUV has been received well in the market. At launch, it missed out on goodies like an AT, sunroof and Apple CarPlay connectivity but now Tata has officially made CarPlay available for the Harrier.
The infotainment system of the SUV gets a new software update which enables the usage of Apple CarPlay. This is valid for both the XT and XZ variants which come with 7-inch and 8.8-inch screens respectively. The software update for the infotainment system can be done at Tata service centres.
Apart from the addition of Apple CarPlay, there are no other changes to the vehicle. Recently, Tata had updated the Tiago and Tigor with this feature too. The Tata Harrier competes with the Mahindra XUV500 and Jeep Compass in the Indian market. The upcoming MG Hector will also rival the Harrier.
