Tata Motors has taken the wraps off the H2X micro-SUV which has been codenamed Hornbill.
Tata Motors has been working on a new micro-SUV codenamed Hornbill and now the automaker has revealed the concept of this vehicle which is being called the H2X at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. The production version of the H2X will be revealed at the 2020 Auto Expo and the vehicle will be launched in late-2020 and it will be slotted below the Nexon.
The styling of the Tata H2X is very futuristic with a lot of sharp elements. The design also takes some inspiration from the H5X concept on which the Harrier is based. The interior looks quite funky and modern and the production version of this vehicle is expected to come with a lot of features.
The company has stated that the H2X will have excellent cabin space, future-ready connectivity and exemplary performance. The H2X is based on the ALFA platform which also underpins the Altroz. Engine details are still unknown, but Tata will mostly likely offer their 1.2-litre petrol engine. If a diesel engine is also made available, it might be the 1.05-litre unit.
