The introductory price is applicable for bookings before 31st October.
Powertrain and Platform
Built on Tata’s new ATLAS platform, the Curvv comes with three engine options. The first is a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine delivering 120 HP and 170 Nm of torque. Next is a 1.5-litre diesel unit that produces 118 HP and 260 Nm torque. The highlight is Tata’s latest offering, the 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol Hyperion engine, which produces 125 HP and 225 Nm of torque. All engines are paired with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, while a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic option is available, making the Curvv the only mass-market diesel car in India with a dual-clutch auto transmission.
Interior and Design
The Curvv’s interior borrows heavily from the Nexon and Nexon EV models, maintaining a familiar yet upscale feel. Key changes include a dual-tone burgundy and black colour scheme, while the dashboard and centre console design remain largely unchanged. The four-spoke steering wheel, borrowed from the Harrier and Safari, adds to the vehicle’s premium appeal.
Feature Highlights
The Curvv is packed with features aimed at enhancing both convenience and safety. Notable among these is a segment-first powered tailgate with gesture control, 18-inch alloy wheels, and flush door handles. Inside, it features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, reclining rear seats and ventilated front seats. Safety is also a priority, with the Curvv equipped with six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, ESC, disc brakes on all four wheels, TPMS, a 360-degree camera and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold.
Competitive Positioning
The Tata Curvv enters a crowded and competitive midsize SUV market. It directly competes with the recently launched Citroen Basalt, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor and Skoda Kushaq.
