Tata Curvv EV caught without camouflage for the first time in India
Tata Motors revealed the production spec Curvv EV and ICE a few days back in the UK. The Indian carmaker is all set to launch the coupe SUV on 7th August. They will reveal the pricing too on the same day. The Curvv has now been spotted completely uncamouflaged in India during its TVC shoot.
The particular model spotted here is the EV version in a light blue shade. We can see the unique rear profile of the car with a sloping roofline, unique and sporty roof mounted spoiler, connected LED tail lights, CURVV.EV lettering on the boot, reverse light integrated onto the bumper, EV spec alloys, flush door handles and many more details.
This will be a unique body style in the Indian car market and the road presence too looks quite loud. Some of us have already compared the styling bits of the Curvv taking inspiration from the Lamborghini Urus, which is weird but true to some extent, from some angles.
Tata Motors will be offering the Curvv with petrol, diesel and electric powertrain options. It will get a 120 HP, 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 115 HP, 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both of these will be shared with the Nexon. It will also get a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder direct injection turbo petrol engine producing 125 HP and 225 Nm of torque.
The Curvv EV will get two battery options. Higher-spec variants will come equipped with a 55kWh battery pack, while the lower-spec variants are expected to use the 40.5kWh battery. The 55kWh battery’s range details are yet to be disclosed but it is anticipated to exceed 550 km, given the 40.5kWh battery has an ARAI-claimed range of 465 km.
The Tata Curvv will compete with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
