The asking price of the Tata Altroz XE+ is Rs. 45,000-50,000/- more than the corresponding XE grade
Tata Motors has introduced a new XE+ variant to the Altroz premium hatchback’s lineup with a starting price of Rs. 6.35 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new variant is offered with naturally aspirated (NA) petrol and turbodiesel engine options and has been added rather silently.
Positioned between the base XE grade and the XM+ variant, the XE+ trim replaces the XM grade. It has features such as ‘follow me home’ and ‘find me’ headlamps, keyless entry, 4-inch instrument display, 3.5-inch infotainment touchscreen, rear parking sensors, among others.
The now discontinued XM variant had a rear parcel shelf and wheel caps in addition, while the XM+ grade which sits above the XE+ comes with safety voice alerts, steering-mounted audio controls, smartphone connectivity, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, voice assist, and more.
As standard, the Tata Altroz XE+ model is equipped with safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, CSC and ISOFIX mounts.
The XE+ grade, as mentioned above, comes with 2 engine options – 1.2-litre NA petrol motor good for 86 PS and 113 Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre turbodiesel making 90 PS and 200 Nm – and a single transmission (5-speed manual).
