The much awaited specs and features of the Altroz have been revealed.
Tata Altroz is about to launch in January and the specifications and features have been revealed ahead of the launch. The hatchback will be offered in both diesel and petrol BS6 compliant engine options.
It is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, BS6 diesel engine that produces 90 PS of power at 4000 RPM and 200 Nm of torque at 1250-3000 RPM. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The petrol engine is a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, BS6 unit that produces 86 PS at 6000 RPM and 113 Nm at 3300 RPM. This engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission.
AMT gearbox will be introduced at a later stage for both petrol and diesel engines. Both the engines are offered with Eco and City driving modes. The diesel Altroz tips the scale at 1150 kgs while the petrol version weighs 1036 kgs.
Tata is offering 185/60 R16 diamond cut alloys for the range topping trim with the spare tyre being smaller at 165/80 R14.
The Tata Altroz measures 3990 mm in length, 1755 mm in width, 1523 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2501 mm. It has a ground clearance of 165 mm. Turning radius is 5 metres. Fuel tank capacity is 37-litres.
It comes with ABS and EBD as standard across all variants. It is equipped with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The Altroz gets dual front airbags only.
There is a boot space of 345 litres. With rear seats folded, it expands to 665 litres.
The instrument cluster comes with a 7-inch TFT display that mirrors media and navigation information along with other vital details.
There is a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It is paired with 100 W Harman speakers. There are steering mounted audio controls along with voice control system.
Some of the features include automatic climate control, engine push button start/stop, smart key, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, fast charging ports at the front and rear, rear AC vents, cruise control, rain sensing wiper, 90-degree opening doors, auto headlamps, wearable key, rear seat armrest, follow me home lights, 15-litre cooled glovebox.
