The Altroz hatchback is the first product to be engineered on the ALFA architecture carrying the IMPACT 2.0 design theme.
Tata Motors has revealed the Altroz hatchback today at the Geneva Motor Show. The Altroz has been revealed in a production ready form. This is the first product to be engineered on the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advance) architecture and carries the IMPACT 2.0 design theme. This is evident by the similarities in design between the Altroz and the Harrier SUV. The ALFA architecture also allows the Altroz to have a segment leading boot space and passenger room.
The Tata Altroz hatchback features a wide grille, humanity line, high mounted LED headlamps, up-swept window line, pillar mounted door handles along with dual-tone alloy wheels. Other interior features include premium styling for the cabin and a touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry and push button start. From the safety perspective, the Altroz gets airbags, front seat belt reminder, rear parking assist and parking cameras, cornering assistance along with ABS and EBD. ISOFIX child seat mounts have also been included.
The Tata Altroz is likely to come with 3 engine options – 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine from the Tiago, a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine from the Nexon and 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine again from the Nexon. The Tata Altroz is expect to be launched by August 2019.
