Tata Altroz Racer price revealed, available in three variants – R1, R2 and R3
Tata Altroz Racer launched with a starting price of Rs. 9.49 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom & introductory) for the R1 variant. The R2 and R3 variants are priced at Rs. 10.49 lakhs and Rs. 10.99 lakhs, respectively.
As we have seen already, the hatchback gets sporty exterior and interior elements along with more feature and a more powerful engine on offer.
The design remains the same but you get some racy styling bits like dual tone treatment with white stripes on the hood and the roof. The Altroz Racer is available with three colour options – Pure Grey, Atomic Orange and Avenue White. The alloy wheels get black treatment, although these are the same alloys offered in the standard version and not the ones showcased in the Racer concept. You also get a bigger roof mounted spoiler to add to the sporty look.
The interior of the Altroz Racer gets an all-black look with orange contrasting elements. You can notice these orange accents on the dashboard, AC vents surrounds, stitching on the steering wheel and stripes on the upholstery. The car also gets orange ambient lighting around the centre console and in the footwell.
Some of the new features include the larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and the all-digital instrument cluster. Tata Motors is offering features like 360 degree camera, ventilated front seats, wireless charger, sunroof with voice assist, air purifier and 6 airbags as standard across all the Racer variants.
The Tata Altroz Racer will be available with a single engine option, which is a Nexon borrowed 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 120 PS at 5500 RPM and 170 Nm at 1750 to 4000 RPM. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission only. There is no DCA automatic on offer. The Racer also comes with a louder exhaust note.
Tata Motors has also introduced two new variants (XZ LUX and XZ+S LUX) and upgraded one variant (XZ+OS) in its regular Altroz range. These two new additional variants will be available in a choice of petrol manual, petrol DCA, diesel and CNG powertrains.
The XZ LUX comes with all features of XZ along with 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, 360 degree camera and Android Auto & Apple CarPlay over WiFi. Additionally, XZ+S LUX gets all the features of XZ+S along with 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, 360 degree camera and Android Auto & Apple CarPlay over WiFi and 6 airbags. The XZ+ OS gets all the features of XZ+S LUX along with iRA Connected Car tech and Air Purifier.
