Tata Motors commence the production of Altroz from their Pune facility.
Tata Motors showcased the Altroz in its concept form as 45X concept at the Auto Expo 2018. Now the Indian carmaker has confirmed the launch of the premium hatchback in January 2020.
The Tata Altroz is based on the Impact design 2.0 language. It comes with sporty exterior styling and gets tech loaded interior, which was revealed in a production-ready avatar at the Geneva Motor Show.
The production of the premium hatchback has commenced and the first unit of the Altroz has rolled out of the Pune facility. The Altroz is based on a new ALFA platform and will be offered with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines with BS6 compliance.
Some of the features expected in the car include projector headlamps, 7-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry, push button start, auto climate control, ambient lighting. etc.
The Tata Altroz will compete against the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz, Toyota Glanza and the likes.
