The Tata Nexon Dark Edition and Altroz Dark Edition should command a premium over the regular models
The Dark Edition variants of the Tata Altroz and Nexon have been spotted at a dealership, signalling that their launch in the market is imminent.
In September last year, soon after the Harrier Dark Edition was launched, MotorBeam uncovered a series of trademarks filed by Tata for Camo and Dark variants of its Altroz, Gravitas (Safari), Tiago and Tigor models.
Now, the Altroz and Nexon Dark Edition models have been spotted undisguised at a dealership parking lot near Pune and as their name suggests, both cars do not come with a hint of flashiness.
Tata has fitted a #Dark emblem on the front fender of the vehicles which get black-coloured alloys, while even the model badging comes in matte black.
However, the Tata Nexon Dark Edition sports some contrasting grey exterior elements, which sets it apart from the premium hatchback, which looks rather lovely in full black paint scheme.
Similarly, both the Altroz and Nexon Dark Editions come with full black interiors featuring piano black trim. These changes aside, the cars are set to remain unchanged mechanically.
Expect Tata to launch the models pretty soon, and yes, they will command a premium, likely to be between Rs. 10,000/- and Rs. 20,000/-, over the regular variants.
