The production version of the Tata 45 will be called Altroz and not Aquila.
Tata Motors had showcased the 45X concept at the 2018 Auto Expo and now the automaker is gearing up to unveil its production version at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The automaker has now revealed that the name of the vehicle is Altroz.
The Tata Altroz will be slotted in the premium hatchback segment to rival the Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Elite i20 and Honda Jazz. The vehicle will come with both petrol and diesel engines and it will also spawn an electric version. The Altroz will be launched in India by August 2019 and it is the first vehicle to be based on the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) platform.
The Tata Altroz will come with a futuristic design and is likely to take inspiration from the Harrier’s styling. The vehicle will feature a sleek body line moving away from the older designs that we’ve seen from the automaker. Expect the vehicle to be feature loaded with all the essentials.
