Tata has unveiled the Altroz iTurbo and bookings for the car begin tomorrow, while its launch is scheduled for 22nd January when its price will be announced along with the commencement of deliveries and test drives.
Unveiled by Tata in celebration of the first anniversary of its premium hatchback, the Altroz iTurbo can be booked for a token amount of Rs. 11,000/-.
While the car does not look any different on the outside, it does come with a new Harbour Blue colour option with Black contrast roof (top 2 trims). Tata has also given the car new black and light grey interiors with perforated leatherette seats.
Sadly though, these are not exclusive to the iTurbo model and instead, the new colour is available in all variants of the car upwards of XM+ trim, while the new interior theme will come in all variants.
However, the Altroz iTurbo, which is available in XT, XZ and the new top-of-the-line XZ+ variant, does come with more features such as drive modes (City and Sport), Xpress Cool, personalized wallpaper on infotainment screen, one shot up power windows and 2 additional tweeters by Harman.
Then, there is the iRA (Intelligent Real time Assist) connected car technology from Tata. The app offers 27 features with layers of 5 connectivity, natural voice tech (the car understands over 70 commands in English, Hindi and in Hinglish) and What 3 Words feature.
Powered by a new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that makes 110 PS at 5500 RPM and 140 Nm from 1500-5500 RPM, the car that weighs 1077 kg (max) effectively has a power to weight ratio of a little over 100 PS per tonne and it can also return 18.13 km/l.
With the Tata Altroz iTurbo bookings to commence from tomorrow and its launch date announced already, we cannot wait to have a go in it, especially when the firm says has made minor tweaks to the steering and suspension of the hatchback.
