The TAMO RACEMO sports car has been revealed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
Tata Motors has finally revealed the highly anticipated TAMO RACEMO at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show. The sportscar has been designed at Tata Motors’ design studio in Turin, Italy. It also gets some elements from the company’s IMPACT design language. The front fascia looks quite aggressive and gets Bi-LED headlamps.
The TAMO RACEMO gets a 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged petrol engine producing 190 PS of power at 6500 RPM and 210 Nm of torque at 2500 RPM. The engine is mated to a 6-speed AMT gearbox and it gets paddle shifters and push button reverse. 0-100 km/hr comes up in under 6 seconds which is quick.
The vehicle gets an all-round independent double wishbone suspension. The tyre sizes are 205/50/17 and 235/45/18 at the front and rear respectively. The car also gets all 4 disc brakes and ABS with EBD. It also gets dual front airbags and has been designed keeping the upcoming Indian safety regulations in mind. It gets a standard 3-point seat belt or an optional 4-point harness.
The TAMO RACEMO is built on a MOFlex multi-material sandwich structure and such type of a structure is used for the first time in the automotive industry. The sports car is going to hit the showrooms soon and we expect it to fetch good response for the company. It is expected to be priced in the Rs. 25-30 lakhs price bracket.
For those who love video games, the TAMO RACEMO is available to drive in Forza Horizon 3 on your XBOX and it is the first Indian car to be made available in the game.
