Suzuki V-Strom 250 launched in China, prices start at CNY 29,880/- for the non-ABS variant.
Suzuki has launched its quarter-litre adventure tourer, the V-Strom 250 in China. The Suzuki V-Strom 250 comes in two variants, non-ABS and ABS. Prices are CNY 29,880/- (approximately Rs. 2,80,000/-) for the non-ABS variant and CNY 31,880/- (approximately Rs. 3,01,000/-) for the ABS variant.
Borrowing styling cues from its elder siblings, the V-Strom 650 and V-Strom 1000, the V-Strom 250 doesn’t look like a quarter-litre adventure tourer at all, courtesy those 3 luggage panniers at the rear.
Powering the Suzuki V-Strom 250 is a 248cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor that is capable of producing 25 HP at 8000 RPM and 23.40 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. This engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Being an adventure tourer engine, it is tuned towards low and mid range output.
Suspension duties are via telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear, and the motorcycle runs on 10-spoke alloy wheels. Both the wheels feature disc brakes and ABS is offered as optional. Other features include a tall windscreen, side case attachments, LCD instrument console, IRC tyres, LED tail-lamp, knuckle guards and a mobile charging socket.
Suzuki has confirmed that V-Strom 250 will launch in European markets too but deliveries in the UK were to begin in March 2017 but has been delayed. However, the Suzuki V-Strom 250 will not be coming to Indian even though demand for adventure motorcycles is on the rise in the sub-continent.
