Suzuki has confirmed that the India launch of the 2021 Hayabusa will take place this month. This was revealed by the brand through its domestic arm’s Twitter handle.
The Tweet read, “The ultimate sport bike is coming back! Experience unmatched thrill and fun with superior refinement and technology in the new Hayabusa 2021. Launching this month, Stay Tuned!”
Revealed globally back in February, the India-bound superbike was teased by the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer’s domestic arm this time last month.
The third-generation Hayabusa now has a completely redesigned bodywork with ram air intake, new side panels, mirrors, flyscreen and rear seat cowl. The lighting units are LEDs.
The superbike also has a revised chassis and a new subframe now. Similarly, the engine also was given a thorough going-over. Displacing 1340cc, the 4-pot unit makes 190 PS and 150 Nm of torque.
Weighing in at 264 kg, the motorcycle has a 20-litre fuel tank, KYB suspension, Brembo Stylema brakes and a whole host of electronics including a 6-axis IMU, ride modes, lean angle sensitive traction control, launch control, among several others.
When the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa India launch takes place, it is likely that the bike will be available in limited numbers for a while due to mounting global demand. Further, it will command a hefty premium over the second-generation model.
