The new Suzuki Swift has been awarded the “Best Small Car” by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers and has received the “Safety” Award at the Annual Scottish Car of the Year Awards. The new Swift was evaluated by a panel of 20 members of the Association, receiving the highest score in the “Small Car” segment and achieving the first award for Suzuki in the 12 year history of the event. The 2011 Suzuki Swift was launched 2 months ago in UK and is expected to make its Indian debut shortly.
“Buyers now demand from small cars the level of comfort, quality, refinement and safety once only found in executive cars. The Suzuki Swift achieves this with a sense of style and a careful eye on pricing. As a result it marks the first ever SCOTY award for Suzuki and shows how far the brand has come since our inaugural awards in 1998,” John Murdoch, President of the ASMW, said.
