Suzuki Solio Bandit Spotted Testing In India

The Suzuki Solio has been spotted on Indian roads in its Bandit avatar.

The Solio Bandit measures under 4-metres in length and is a Kei car

In the past, the Suzuki Solio mini-MPV has been spied in India a few times and the vehicle has been spotted again. However, this time it is the top-spec Bandit version and the Solio Bandit is expected to be showcased at the upcoming 2020 Auto Expo.

The Suzuki Solio Bandit is a 5-seater car but it is dimensionally bigger than the Wagon R. It is longer, wider, taller and even has a 45 mm longer wheelbase. The Solio Bandit comes with a new grille, split headlamp setup, tweaked bumper, new alloys, etc.

In the Japanese market, the Solio Bandit comes powered by the 1.2-litre K12C petrol engine with two 12V mild-hybrid layouts. The first one has a 12V ISG with a battery pack producing an additional 13.6 HP and 30 Nm while the second one just has the ISG.

It is unlikely that the Suzuki Solio will be launched in India. There’s a high possibility that the automaker is just testing the hybrid components of the vehicle on Indian roads as these could be used in future Suzuki cars.
