The Suzuki Let’s will mark the entry of the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer in the 110cc scooter segment. With the bookings having already commenced since a month now, the Let’s scooter has arrived at dealerships and will see an official launch on 6th May in Chennai. The Let’s was unveiled in the country in January along with the Gixxer 155 motorcycle, prior to the 2014 Auto Expo.
Measuring in at 1805 mm in length, 655 mm in width and 1120 mm in height, the Suzuki Let’s scooter is powered by a 112.8cc air-cooled, 2-valve engine that produces 8.7 HP of power at 7500 RPM and 9 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM, paired to a CVT transmission. The automatic scooter gets telescopic suspension at the front and a swing-arm type coil spring suspension setup at the rear. Stopping power comes from 120 mm drum brakes and the scooter uses 90/100-10 front and rear tubeless tyres.
The Suzuki Let’s weighs in at a very light 98 kgs. The company has also incorporated the Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) fuel saving technology that helps deliver a claimed mileage of 63 km/l. The Let’s also gets cut away floor boards for ease in handling, while a mobile charger has been listed as an added feature. Styling wise too, the Let’s features convenient lines that will gel well with most. The instrument cluster on the other hand looks rather tacky and could have been better.
Suzuki is offering the Let’s scooter in five body colours comprising of white, blue, black, red, and silver. The Let’s has been priced at Rs. 52,400/- (on-road, Mumbai) and will be competing with the Honda Activa-i, Yamaha Ray and the Hero Maestro in the segment.
