Suzuki has unveiled its new scooter, called Let’s. The Suzuki Let’s marks the foray of the company into the 110cc scooter segment where it has been missing out until now. The automaker was only offering 125cc scooters in the form of the Access and Swish. The Suzuki Let’s is the lightest scooter in its class and uses a fibre body to achieve a weight of just 98 kgs. The company claims the Suzuki Let’s is a practical, fast and light scooter which offers a lot of style. The Let’s comes with cut away floor boards for easy handling while the engine is called twist and go and the tagline is ‘Let’s Karte hain!’
The Suzuki Let’s is powered by a 112.8cc, single-cylinder engine which outputs 8.7 HP of power at 7500 RPM and 9 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. This scooter uses telescopic front forks and 120 mm drums at the front and rear. The tyres are tubeless 90/100/10 on both sides. The Suzuki Let’s scooter returns a claimed mileage of 63 km/l and the company has introduced SEP which stands for ‘Suzuki Eco Performance’. Honda is the leader in the scooter segment and the Let’s is clearly aimed at robbing market share from the Activa-i. Suzuki is offering the Let’s in 5 colours namely blue, black, silver, white and red.
The Suzuki Let’s scooter measures 1810 mm, 660 mm and 1120 mm in length, width and height respectively. The scooter has a wheelbase of 1250 mm while the ground clearance is 160 mm. The seat height of the Let’s is 765 mm and the fuel tank capacity is 5.2-litres. This Suzuki scooter comes with a maintenance free battery. Suzuki has designed the engine and chassis of the Let’s from grounds-up. Parineeti Chopra is the brand ambassador for the scooter. A step through scooter with the same name is sold by Suzuki in Thailand and Indonesia. Suzuki will expand dealerships from existing 600 outlets to 1000.
