The Suzuki Intruder FI will be launched in India in 2018.
The Suzuki Intruder range is all set to expand in India through the launch of an FI (fuel-injection) variant. At the launch event of the baby Intruder, Suzuki top officials have confirmed that the FI variant will go on sale in six months time. Considering that the 2018 Auto Expo kick starts in early 2018, expect Suzuki to showcase the Intruder 150 FI at the 2018 Auto Expo.
Suzuki has priced the Intruder 150 cruiser bike in India at Rs. 98,340/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). Currently, the Intruder is powered by an air-cooled, single-cylinder 155cc motor that produces 14.6 HP of power and 14 Nm of torque. The engine is mated with a 5-speed gearbox. The 155cc fuel-injected powerplant is the same unit that does duty in the Suzuki Gixxer SF FI. Like the Gixxer SF and Gixxer SF FI, the Intruder 150 and the Intruder 150 FI will have no variations in power and torque figures.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF and SF FI have a price difference of approximately Rs. 3800/-, so expect the Access maker to price the Intruder 150 FI at approximately Rs. 1.02 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, expect a price hike in January 2018 as all automakers increase prices citing an increase in input costs while that being a good reason to clear previous year’s inventory.
