Suzuki Motorcycle India has teased the 2021 Hayabusa indicating that the launch of the superbike in our country will happen imminently.
A new post on the official Suzuki India Twitter handle reads: “The legend of legends with the ultimate sporting experience on two wheels is coming soon! Stay tuned to experience the thrill like never before!”.
The tweet has a 14-second video attached with it that reiterates the fact that the 2021 Hayabusa is indeed soon coming to India.
Revealed in February, the third-generation model of the motorcycle bearing the iconic name sports a redesigned bodywork, but the 1340cc 4-pot engine has been carried forward too, with internal changes, of course.
Now, it produces 190 PS and 150 Nm, while the gearbox features a bi-directional quickshifter, while an autoblipper is also present.
The major difference between the old and the new Hayabusa lies in the electronics package. Featuring the latest version of the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS), the new Hayabusa has ride modes, lean angle sensitive traction control, ABS, launch control, anti-wheelie, cruise control, among other features.
Expect the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa India launch to take place soon and because it is likely to come through the completely knocked down (CKD) route, its asking price should be kept well under control.
We expect Suzuki to ask upwards of Rs. 17 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the superbike and it should do pretty well in terms of sales, considering the cult following it has across the nation.
