Suzuki has launched the GSX-R150 MotoGP 2020 Edition Launched In Indonesia to commemorate a century of its existence as a manufacturer and 50 years of its presence in the Indonesian market.
Also, the special edition celebrates the recent achievements of the Suzuki Ecstar Team in the MotoGP arena. Notably, Suzuki’s rider Joan Mir leads the world championship at the moment.
The Suzuki GSX-R150 MotoGP 2020 Edition is painted in Solarize Silver and Triton Blue, while there are graphics inspired by the latest 2020 Suzuki MotoGP racing machine.
The colour combination was first applied to Suzuki racing motorbikes competing in the 1960 Isle of Man Tourist Trophy.
Two years later, Ernst Degner won the first race for Suzuki there, as well as claiming their first world championship title in the 50cc category. Now, all the latest bikes belonging to the GSX-R family sport the same paint scheme.
Powering the Suzuki GSX-R150 MotoGP 2020 Edition is a 147.3cc fuel-injected, DOHC motor that puts out 18.9 HP at 10,500 RPM and 14 Nm at 9000 RPM. The bike weighs only 131 kg (dry).
Underpinned by a twin-spar diamond frame, the motorcycle has telescopic forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear and features LED headlamp and tail light, digital instrument cluster, keyless ignition, among others.
Pricing-wise, the bike costs between IDR 30,600,000 (Rs. 1.55 lakhs) and IDR 34,600,000 (Rs. 1.75 lakhs) (on-road Jakarta) and will be available across Indonesia from November.
