Suzuki Gixxer Spotted In Dual Tone Shade, GSX-150R Rendered

Suzuki will soon launch new dual-tone colours on the Gixxer while the fully-faired GSX150R could be launched by the end of this year.

The dual-tone shades could be launched as a special edition on the Suzuki Gixxer

The Gixxer has certainly helped Suzuki make a big comeback in the motorcycle space after failing with its initial offerings. Currently one of the best bikes in the premium 150cc segment, the Japanese manufacturer plans to sweeten the deal further by offering the motorcycle in a new special dual-tone paint scheme that was recently spotted out in the open. Seen above is the Gixxer finished in dual-tone red and black shades that could be brought as a silent upgrade for model year 2015.

The updated Suzuki Gixxer gets black decals most prominent on the fuel tank along with rim stripes that add to the overall appeal of the street-fighter. In terms of mechanicals, the Gixxer gets no changes and continues with the same 155cc 4-stroke, single-cylinder engine tuned to produce 14.6 BHP of power and 14 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed gearbox. We could expect the new dual-tone Gixxer to launch anytime soon as a special edition model.

While the new dual-tone shades will keep things fresh for the naked Gixxer, Suzuki is also working on a full-faired version of the bike likely to be called ‘GSX-150R’ and will be launched by the end of the year. Based on the first spy shot of the full-faired version shared by us, our friends at Gaadiwaadi.com have come up with this rendering of the GSX-150R that takes inspiration from the highly popular GSX-R1000 superbike.

The full-faired Suzuki GSX-150R will be sharing its underpinnings with the Gixxer including the engine and powertrain. Power could see a marginal bump while a rear disc brake and clip-on handlebars are also a possibility. The Suzuki GSX-150R is expected to be priced around Rs. 15,000/- higher than the Gixxer street-fighter and will rival the Yamaha Fazer, Honda CBR150R, Yamaha R15 and the likes in the segment. It will also be the most affordable full-faired bike to go on sale in the country.
