Japanese automaker Suzuki has revealed the Ertiga Dreza in Indonesia and it is a slightly more premium version of the MPV which will also be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The Ertiga is a very popular MPV not only in India but also in other overseas markets. After launching the Ertiga facelift just recently in Indonesia, Suzuki has now revealed the Ertiga Dreza which is going to be positioned as a more premium version of the MPV. The overall vehicle will continue to remain similar but the exteriors get some significant changes as we can see in the pictures. The front fascia of the Ertiga has been completely revised and it now gets a new grille and a redesigned bumper too.
The face looks quirky from certain angles and with the overdose of chrome, it looks more of an after-market job and we personally prefer the regular Ertiga which looks far more classier. The side profile remains mostly unchanged except the new side skirts that have been added. The Ertiga Dreza also gets new alloys which kind of remind us of the Honda Mobilio RS. The rear of the vehicle also gets some tweaks. There are quite a few chrome additions and the vehicle also gets a new bumper and a tail-gate mounted spoiler.
The interiors continue to have the same layout and the only change that the Ertiga Dreza gets is the new infotainment system that comes with a 9-inch screen and is loaded with Android 4.1. It also has support for Apple iOS. In comparison, the Indian version of the Ertiga comes with a 7-inch infotainment system and that is offered only on the top-end ZXi/ZDi trims. The insides of the Dreza remain unchanged and continue to have the same colour scheme too.
Even on the mechanical front, the Ertiga Dreza is largely the same. It is powered by a 1.4-litre petrol engine that is mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Suzuki will be launching the vehicle in the Indonesian market very soon. Nothing has been confirmed about the Dreza’s launch in India but we cannot rule out the possibility of Maruti introducing the same at a later date in the guise of a special edition. The company will be showcasing this model at the 2016 Auto Expo.
