Suzuki Burgman Street Launched In India, Priced At Rs. 68,000/-

The Suzuki Burgman Street has been launched in India to heat up the 125cc scooter segment.

The large front fairing gives the scooter a good road presence

The Suzuki Burgman Street is the first scooter with a maxi-like styling to have been launched in India after the Kinetic Blaze. The scooter has been priced at Rs. 68,000/- (ex-showroom, Delhi) and has begun arriving at the Suzuki dealerships.

As already reported, the Suzuki Burgman comes with a ton of features including an all-LED headlamp, a fully-digital instrument cluster, LED tail lamps, aluminium pillion footrests, flexible foot position for rider, mobile charging socket and a generous amount of storage space. The main attraction is obviously the large imposing design that it borrows from its elder siblings which are already on sale globally.

Powering the Suzuki Burgman Street will be an Access 125 sourced 124.3cc motor producing 8.58 HP at 6500 RPM and 10.2 Nm at 5000 RPM. Braking duties will be performed by a disc at the front and a drum unit at the rear. Combined braking system (CBS) comes as standard as the scooter is an all new product. The CBS will lead to the rider’s action of depressing one of the brake levers getting applied on both front and rear brakes.

From the initial impressions, the Suzuki Burgman Street looks promising and the scooter seems ready to compete with its competition, the sporty Aprilia SR 125, the Honda Grazia and the TVS Ntorq 125, all of which have prices beginning at around Rs. 65,000/- (on-road, Mumbai).
