Pictures of the Suzuki Access 125 facelift have leaked and the new scooter gets a number of cosmetic updates while no mechanical changes are expected.
The 100-125cc scooter segment is growing with the increasing urban traffic and hence all the manufacturers are working hard to provide the market with something unique. Suzuki is all set to give its very successful Access 125 a makeover and the pictures of the same have recently surfaced on the internet.
The Suzuki Access 125 facelift will get a completely new design which looks a bit like the newly launched Yamaha Fascino. The new scooter has a lot of chrome finishes like the chrome cover for the headlamp and the chrome guard on the exhaust. The facelift will have a new headlamp along with the new tail lamp unit.
The new Suzuki Access 125 facelift is expected to be unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo, however no official news is out yet. The new scooter is expected to be launched at a starting price of around Rs. 55,000/- (ex-showroom Mumbai) while the current model is priced at Rs. 52,221/- (ex-showroom Mumbai).
The current Suzuki Access 125 is powered by a 124cc engine that produces 8.5 BHP at 7000 RPM and 9.8 Nm of torque at 8500 RPM while the facelift is expected to be powered by the same motor with no mechanical changes. Other specifications are also expected to be the same.
Suzuki Motorcycles India launched the Access 125 in 2007 and it has received a number of updates since then, however this will be the first facelift with a completely new design. The Japanese manufacturer will unveilĀ the much awaited Gixxer 250 and the dual-disc variant of the Gixxer and Gixxer SF at the 2016 Auto Expo.
