Ever since its release in 2001, the Fast and Furious franchise has captured the hearts of the audience with the plot, the stunts and those extraordinary cars. The latest film of the series, Furious 7 which is set to be released in April 2015, is no exception. It includes exclusive supercars and rare hypercars as well. Following the death of Paul Walker in November 2013, this film promises to be extra special as a tribute. Here is a list of cars expected in this movie –
Bugatti Veyron – Volkswagen built the Bugatti Veyron with the aim of building the world’s most powerful engine and the world’s fastest production car. It is powered by a 8.0-litre, quad-turbocharged W16 engine producing a massive 1001 horsepower and a torque figure of 1250 Nm. The car accelerates to 100 km/hr in 2.5 seconds and it has a top speed of 408 km/hr. The Veyron 16.4 was succeeded by the Bugatti Veyron Supersports which claimed an even higher top speed, thanks to 1200 PS and 1500 Nm, phew.
Ferrari 458 Italia – The Ferrari 458 Italia is considered to be one of the best looking Ferraris ever made and one of the best mid-engined supercars of current times. It is powered by a 4.5-litre V8 engine producing 560 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hr in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of over 325 km/hr. The replacement for the 458, the Ferrari 488 GTB was recently announced.
McLaren MP4-12C – McLaren MP4-12C was the first car wholly built by McLaren after the legendary F1. It was built to take on the popular Ferrari 458. It is powered by a 3.8-litre V8 producing a maximum power of 616 BHP and 600 Nm of torque. The car accelerates to 100 km/hr in 3.2 seconds and will accelerate till it reaches its top whack of 329 km/hr. The production of the vehicle was recently stopped and McLaren released the 650S as a replacement.
Dodge Viper SRT – The Viper is a two-seater American sportscar built by Dodge. Launched in 1992, it is in its fifth generation now. The engine powering the Viper is the largest engine (in terms of cubic capacity) available in any production car. The latest iteration of the vehicle is powered by a 8.4-litre V10 producing 640 BHP and 813 Nm torque. It hits 100 km/hr from a standstill in less than 3 seconds and has a top speed of 330 km/hr.
Lykan HyperSport – The Lykan HyperSport is a limited edition run sports car from a Lebanese manufacturer. It is the first of its kind to come out of the Middle East. The car has diamonds and rubies embedded in the headlights. It borrows a flat six 3.7-litre engine from Porsche, producing a massive 740 BHP and 960 Nm of torque. The HyperSport hits 100 km/hr in 2.8 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 385 km/hr.
Dodge Challenger – No Fast and Furious movie is complete without a dose of American muscle. The seventh edition is no exception. The Dodge Challenger is expected to be featured in the movie. The Challenger was built by Dodge to compete against the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang. The latest car is powered by a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 producing 485 horsepower. The Challenger SRT accelerates to a 100 km/hr in less than 4 seconds and has a top speed of 293 km/hr. The Challenger is also available with a 6.2-litre Hemi SRT Hellcat V8 producing an astonishing 707 horsepower.
At least on the car front, Furious 7 will satisfy all the expectations of the viewers.
