Skoda India Director Zac Hollis might leave India for another international market of the Czech maker
Skoda India Director Zac Hollis, who was, all this time, the face of the company might be leaving the country to take charge of the brand’s another international market. As per a recent rumour, the Director is reportedly nearing the end of his term in India.
It further said, he will be replaced by an executive from Russia whose name and date of appointment is still not known. Zac became the Director of Skoda India in November, 2018.
Since then, he has steered the company through its toughest times when central government brought new norms 1 after another like the 3-year mandatory insurance, standard dual airbags, BS-6 transition, etc.
In addition, he also helped the company go through the pandemic, Russia-Ukraine war, and chip shortage. Zac was part of the team that implemented Skoda’s India 2.0 strategy that brought out amazing cars like the Kushaq and the Slavia with super-fun engines.
Above all, he was the greatest troubleshooter for the brand in India. Signing up his Twitter account within months of coming to the country, Zac turned out to be a great support for Skoda customers, immediately responding to their queries and concerns.
His social media activity was 1 of the reasons for Skoda’s rise in sales. Most of his work revolved around solving customers’ issues with respect to service and part availability.
Earlier, this year when Kushaq couldn’t be factory-fitted with auto-folding ORVMs due to global chip shortage, Zac came up with the option of retrofitting them later in the service centres.
It must be seen what the new Director reportedly from Russia has on table. If he turns out to be as active as Zac with great rapport, there’s no stopping Skoda from reaching sales milestones in the near future.
