Skoda has revealed their India specific compact SUV concept ahead of the Auto Expo.
The Czech carmaker had announced the introduction of a compact SUV specifically made for India last year. They also revealed the sketches of the concept car few days back and now we see it here in flesh.
The design language looks similar to the new range of SUVs from Skoda like the Kodiaq. The front profile looks rugged and muscular thanks to the brawny bumper with skid plate, huge butterfly signature grille and a chunky bonnet along with split headlights.
The side profile has strong shoulder line running across the body, it has black body cladding that adds to the rugged appeal along with the roof rails and the alloy wheels look stylish too.
The rear profile has very typical Kodiaq inspired tail lights along with a rugged bumper with skid plate and huge Skoda lettering on the tail gate.
The interior of the Skoda Vision IN concept comes with some fancy design details such as a large crystalline element on the dashboard, free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and a large virtual cockpit.
The orange colour is extensively used throughout the cabin, there is a 3-spoke steering wheel with big Skoda lettering on the horn pad.
Under the hood we expect a 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine options. The compact SUV is based on the MQB A0 IN platform and measures 4.26 metres in length.
We expect Skoda to introduce the production version sometime in 2021 in the Indian market.
