Skoda To Launch 6 New Models In 2013

Skoda has updated their logo and the lettering for car names with a completely new design. This new logo first appeared on the Citigo hatchback and the Rapid in Europe and will follow the rest of the car range. The new logo now has only the ‘winged arrow’ design in chrome with a black background and a chrome ring on the outside. The ‘Skoda’ lettering is completely eliminated from the logo. Skoda has changed the font style for the lettering on the rest of the car for the car name. For the first time ‘Skoda’ will be written on the back of the car on the left side.

Skoda has also announced the plan that they will launch six new models over this year in Europe. This is part of their expansion plans and changes planned for Europe. In the first month of the year, Skoda will launch the Rapid compact sedan. In March 2013, the next generation Octavia Liftback will be launched followed by the new Octavia Combi in June. The Combi has not yet been officially revealed which will happen in due course of time.

Three more new cars will be launched this year though exact details have not been announced by Skoda. It is expected that the first of the three cars would be the Octavia vRS possibly in August. The facelifted Yeti may be launched in October and possibly the facelifted Superb series in December, though the timing may get interchanged. Although it is not expected, there is a possibility that Skoda may also launch a completely new car for Europe by next year.
