The model is already on sale in the international market and will make it to India soon.
The latest Skoda Superb the best-selling model among all the Superbs so far in India. Its classy design and good proportions truly make it a competition for the Germans. Skoda had recently launched the Corporate Edition which had a lower price than the base trim but had the exact same features. Now, to keep the excitement alive, it will soon be introducing the SportLine trim in India with sportier exteriors and interiors.
The Skoda Superb SportLine gets a blacked-out front grille (instead of chrome), bumper-mounted air intakes and window surrounds for that added oomph. The image on the Indian website also shows blacked out wing mirrors instead of body-coloured ones. Internationally, the SportLine rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and it seems the Indian model will come with the same. The sports suspension is not likely to make it to India.
The sporty feel continues on the inside of the Skoda Superb SportLine. The seats will be upholstered in Alcantara and silver stitching is done on the 3-spoke steering wheel. Not just this, the pedals are aluminium, the headlining is black and the dashboard gets a carbon-effect. Rest all the features like electrically adjustable seats and a touch infotainment system with navigation will continue to be provided with the Superb SportLine.
Even though the internationally sold Skoda Superb SportLine gets a more powerful engine and even a 4×4 system, the Indian version is unlikely to get any of these and will be offered with a 1.8-litre turbo petrol or a 2.0-litre diesel engine, with the latter being a more obvious choice. We seriously hope that no matter which engine is offered, there’s a power bump given. Prices will surely go up but with the added visual appeal on the interiors and exteriors. The standout factor will, however, make the price worth it.
