Skoda Superb B8 available in the range topping L&K trim with petrol engine option
Skoda Superb B8 has made a comeback in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs. 54 lakhs (ex-showroom). They have increased the pricing of the L&K variant by more than 50 percent. It was last launched back in 2021 at Rs. 34.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
These are fully built units imported to India. Bookings have commenced for a limited batch of 100 units. Deliveries will commence later this month. The Superb B8 is exclusively available with the L&K variant and is powered by a petrol engine option only, there is no diesel engine choice.
It is powered by the same 2.0-litre TSI EVO turbo petrol engine producing 190 PS and 320 Nm of torque, mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. Skoda had briefly halted the availability of the Superb with India’s implementation of BS6-2 norms in April 2023. The sedan has now been upgraded to the FBU European EU6 engine to meet BS6-2 emissions.
The Superb looks the same, there are no changes on the exterior except for the new colour options. It comes with new Rosso Brunello and Water World Green colours along with the previously offered Magic Black shade. It also comes with the swanky 18-inch Propus Aero alloy wheels.
Some of the features include 10.2-inch Virtual Cockpit, 9.19-inch infotainment system, wireless charging, wired Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, 12-way adjustable electric seats up front, driver gets massage & memory function, tri-zone climate control with Air Care, 11-speaker 1-subwoofer 610W Canton Sound System, Dynamic Chassis Control with 4 pre-set suspension modes, Park Assist, 360° camera, etc.
Skoda is currently clearing the stock of the existing Superb as they have already revealed the new generation Superb globally. It is expected to be launched in India later this year or early next year. The new gen sedan is expected to come with a diesel engine option as well in India. It gets a completely new design language, premium interior and a ton of new features on offer.
