Skoda Slavia 1.0-Litre TSI Launched, Priced From Rs. 10.69 Lakhs

The asking price of the Skoda Slavia 1.0-litre TSI variants rises till Rs. 15.39 lakhs (ex-showroom)

Skoda Auto India has introduced the 1.0-litre TSI variants of the Slavia at a starting price of Rs. 10.69 lakhs (ex-showroom), today. Only the second model from the Czech firm to use its MQB-A0-IN architecture, the C-segment sedan was officially unveiled in November last year.

It is a pretty long car (4541 mm) that has 2651 mm of wheelbase and has enough width (1752 mm) and height (1507 mm) to offer a roomier cabin than the Rapid, its predecessor.

The Slavia also comes with more goodies than the Rapid, with LED lights, 8-inch digital instrument cluster, 10-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats, auto-dimming IRVM, electric sunroof, wireless device charging, and more being offered.

Some of the additional features that are available with the sedan include parking sensors, rear-view camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, auto headlamps and wipers, and cruise control.

To be able to tackle India’s worst roads, the Slavia has 179 mm of road clearance. Further, its boot can swallow 521 litres of baggage with all seats in place and 1050 litres of luggage with the rear seats folded.

Slavia will be offered in 5 colours – Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Crystal Blue (new), and Tornado Red – and in 3 main variants – Active, Ambition and Style.

Power comes from a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol motor that delivers 115 PS and a peak torque output of 178 Nm. There are 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox options on offer for customers.

The automatic gearbox will be offered in Ambition and Style variants only and the base grade will be manual-only. The Czech brand claims a maximum fuel economy figure of 19.47 km/l for the car.

Safety features the C-segment sedan comes with include up to 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, Electronic Differential System (EDS), Multi Collision Brake, VSM, TC, HHC, and ISOFIX anchors and tether points.

Finally, Skoda says the 1.0-litre TSI variants of the Slavia come with a 4-year/1 lakh km warranty as standard, while various maintenance packages are also available for customers to opt.
