Skoda announces new variants naming – Classic, Signature & Prestige
Skoda has announced new variants for the Slavia and Kushaq models. The nomenclature has been revised from Active, Ambition and Style to Classic, Signature and Prestige. The carmaker has also revised the pricing, which makes the Kushaq and Slavia up to Rs. 1.10 lakhs cheaper, depending on variant to variant.
The Skoda Kushaq is available in five variants – Classic, Onyx, Signature, Monte Carlo and Prestige with the price ranging from Rs. 10.89 lakhs to Rs. 18.79 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Skoda Slavia is available in three variants – Classic, Signature and Prestige. It is priced in the range of Rs. 10.69 lakhs to Rs. 18.69 lakhs (ex-showroom). You can have a look at the complete price list below. The new pricing is valid for a limited period of time.
The pricing has been revised to reach a wider set of audience and boost the sales of these two products in the market. Skoda claims they have achieved the value through efficiencies in operations and economies of scale and have passed on these benefits to the customers.
Some of the highlights of these models include ventilated seats, electric seat adjust, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 25.4 cm in-car entertainment interface and a sub-woofer embedded in the boot among other features. Skoda has already made six airbags as standard across all its variants. Both the products have received 5-star Global NCAP safety rating.
To make the brand more accessible to a wider audience, Skoda is preparing to launch a new compact SUV in 2025. It will be based on the same MQB A0 IN platform as the Skoda Kushaq but will be positioned as their entry-level products, specific to the Indian market. The new compact SUV will boast their latest design direction to attract the youth. Likely to be powered by the 1.0-litre TSI engine and is expected to be available in both manual and automatic transmission options.
