Skoda has rather silently put the Rider variant on sale for the 2021 Rapid C-segment sedan and it now costs Rs. 7.79 lakhs (ex-showroom).
This is a Rs. 30,000/- price increase for the base variant of the sedan, which is rather steep, for the 2021 model year.
The Czech automaker revealed late last year that the Rider variant of the Rapid was sold out. Its Rs. 7.49 lakhs (ex-showroom) asking price was met with good response from Indian customers.
Despite the price hike, the 2021 Skoda Rapid Rider trim continues to cost similar to the entry-level models of a few popular sub-4-metre SUVs.
No changes seem to have been made to the model and thus it comes with equipment such as auto AC, 2 DIN audio player, electric windows front and rear, windscreen defogger, Parktronic RR sensors, and scuff plates with model name inscription.
Colour options offered on the Rider variant, which can be had only with a manual gearbox, include Candy White and Carbon Steel, while the car also comes with dual front airbags and ABS.
Powered by a 1.0-litre turbo petrol that puts out a maximum of 110 PS and 175 Nm of torque, the 2021 Skoda Rapid can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
