The Skoda Rapid facelift will be launched on 3rd November and an image showing its styling has been leaked.
Skoda is all geared up to launch the facelifted version of the Rapid on 3rd November 2016. This will be a mid-life update to the C-segment sedan and it will come with major cosmetic changes, equipment additions and tweaked mechanicals. The car got some minor updates earlier but this is the first major one.
The front fascia of the sedan gets a massive rejig in design. It now comes with sharper looks and the styling actually makes the Rapid resemble a mini Octavia. There is a new grille as well along with new headlamps. The bumper also carries a sleeker design now. The side profile is likely to remain the same while the rear will have only minor tweaks. You can expect Skoda to thrown in new alloys though.
The interiors will continue to carry a similar layout but we are expecting Skoda to bump up the equipment list of the Rapid. Don’t be surprised if you see features being carried over from the Volkswagen Ameo and Vento. The engine options are going to remain the same but the 1.5-litre TDI engine will now produce 110 HP of power, just like the Ameo.
The Skoda Rapid facelift will increase the appeal of the sedan that competes with the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, Fiat Linea, Volkswagen Vento and the likes. Pricing is likely to be increased marginally with the launch of the new model.
